Buying a whole salmon and slicing it at home requires an initial investment, but after all, it is much cheaper and has the advantage that it can be cooked or frozen in a fresher way than when the loins are on display , already cut for hours.
What I am going to share today is this adventure of climbing a salmon and cutting it into fillets, since it is a very popular fish, especially by the youngest, who when their lunch or dinner is a fish they twist their nose but if it is salmon they are already happy.
To do this, follow these steps:
- Open the fish to the top of the head to make the most of it;
- Remove the main spine;
- Remove all pimples using kitchen tongs or normal tongs. If the salmon is large, most of the bones come out well just by hand.
- Remove the bones from the fish’s belly and some fat with a knife.
- Finally, cut the fillets.
